This site is about the music of Portrait of Beyond - the band. And it is also the home of Portrait of Beyond - the (semi)scientific community. Which one of the two is which is an unanswered question. Maybe these actually are but one entity.

We exist to examine all things present in the universe near and far, and to bring our findings to a palpable form on the rigid grounds of literal expression as well as by means of music, a more complicated, yet for some purposes very perspicuous medium.

In time, we hope to be able to build here a compelling fountain of information and discussion.

This is our compulsion, and our gift to all who want to listen and see beyond the veils posed before us by everyday experience.
